Karate for Children Vol 1 BasicsAphs and illustrations Written in simple English it sets out to answer uestions asked by young Karate for Epubpeople everywhere Forty basic techniues are cover. My six year old daughter has been training with Shihan van Weenen for nearly a year and was very excited when this book was first mentioned and has been fortunate enough to be selected as one of the children appearing in the book My wife and I have been very impressed with the way that Shihan has approached the subject of Karate for Children in this book It is written in easy to understand terms with much of the history and philosophy of Karate do explained through stories The illustrations of techniues are clearly illustrated and well explained and will serve well in reinforcing the formal training experienced in a professionally run dojo As a mature karate ka myself I can appreciate what this book has to offer too and will certainly learn from it which is testament to Shihan s ability to teach and relate to students of all ages and abilities This book may be titled Karate for Children but in my opinion children of all ages from 5 to 90 can learn something from it Congratulations Shihan and we look forward to Volume 2
